Step 1

1. Charge and Pair Up-Date

Before first use, fully charge your Up-Date device.

Red light — Charging Green light — Fully charged

Press the button to power on. Open your phone’s Bluetooth settings and connect. It may appear as “Tinder Swiper” or a similar name.

Keep Bluetooth enabled while using Up-Date.

2. Complete Your Phone Setup

iPhone

Enable AssistiveTouch

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Accessibility
  3. Tap Touch
  4. Tap AssistiveTouch
  5. Toggle AssistiveTouch ON

This is a one-time setup. Keep AssistiveTouch enabled while using Up-Date.

Android

Pair and Go

Most Android phones require no additional setup.

  1. Pair Up-Date through Bluetooth settings
  2. Open your dating app
  3. Navigate to the profile-swiping screen

Behavior can vary by phone manufacturer and Android version.

3. Open Your Dating App

Open your preferred dating app and navigate to its swipe-based profile screen.

Up-Date never needs your login credentials.

4. Press to Start

Press the Up-Date button once to begin.

Up-Date is not appearing in Bluetooth.

Confirm Up-Date is charged and powered on, keep it close to your phone, refresh Bluetooth settings, and try pairing again. If it was paired before, forget the device first and reconnect.

It is connected, but nothing is swiping.

Make sure your phone is unlocked and the app is open on its profile-swiping screen. On iPhone, confirm AssistiveTouch is enabled before pressing the Up-Date button.

Swiping stops after a match.

Some apps pause on a match screen. Dismiss that screen, return to the profile-swiping view, and press the Up-Date button to resume.

Android is connected, but nothing happens.

Reconnect Up-Date, verify the app is on its swiping screen, and check your phone’s accessibility or input settings. Behavior can vary by manufacturer and Android version.

How do I stop swiping?

Press the Up-Date button again. If needed, you can also disconnect Up-Date from your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
